Recently, the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) issued a notice concerning the launch of the image-search-by-image function on the online trademark inquiry system.

Effective May 22, 2026, the image retrieval by trademark graphic function of the online trademark query system is officially launched. Applicants and trademark agencies may upload trademark graphic files to conduct online comparison of trademark graphical similarity via this function, and all query results are for reference only.
